 Well its getting a lil niPPy out there..but geez, combine that with the sound of ChristMas comercials playing in the background..its totally exciting!
This fella is my rendition of a Key to Primitives design. I had alotta fun making this fella..in fact I thought I heard him say..Its my Birthday!! lol..
He is made of painted,sanded,stained ( in coffee and vanilla), and baked muslin. His eyes and mouth are black crochet knots. He is a weighty fella being partially rag-stuffed. His nose is a whittled stick. He wears a gruNgy collar..that is tied around his neck ( I've left it where you can remove that if you like) ,that I've pinned a gruNgy round tag that reads brrr..born in ol Dixie..he knows we're allergic to snow! lol
I love his hat..I've done the unthinkable I suppose by adding silk holly and berries..but it just seemed so darn appropiate! His tree is abit charlie brownish..made from a stick,in an old spool..that still has a price tag on it..guess how much...29 cents!! LOL The tree is made with garland and ming, and I wrapped abit of red crochet thread around it and let it just unwind abit and fall across his snowy ol foot. I've pinned big rusty bells down his front on rusty safety pins.
He's a huNk..he's 18 inches high sitting, which he can do all by himself. He's 22 inches long..about 12 inches side to side with his arms and tree..with his nose, and feet ,I think about 7 inches from front to back. He's dusty also..loads of cinnamon..but for all that I have done to him..he's just a siMple joLLy fella.
